BACKSTAGE

There are just too many bands out there suffering from poor image and bad promo material, and we simply had to do something about it, we could take no more. We decided to set up Hangar 18... the combined brainchild of ambitious metalheads Matt Cooper and Jim Rayfield. We love all things rock 'n' roll and are true defenders of the faith. We come from strong backgrounds in the design and development industries, have a real passion for what we do and are here to provide your band with everything it needs to get its message across visually.

The name Hangar 18 came about through a shared passion for Megadeth's album 'Rust in Peace', which contains our namesake track that plays with the idea that aliens were being prodded and probed inside Area 51 in the 1940's. Although the idea of Area 51 is intriguing, we are yet to be convinced that little green men visited Roswell; Hangar 18 remains, to us, simply a killer track and a great name for our business.

Matt is our CEO, resident techie and old skool metal head. He can usually either be found staring at scary black screens coding, or just manically air drumming to Maiden and other animals. He has been involved with programming for the web since the turn of the millennium when he began creating ezines for the exhibitions industry on behalf of a London-based company Telecoms TV. Beginning with a modest collection of web design and development tools like Dreamweaver he quickly made the leap to web programming and dedicated himself to the production of enterprise level, best practice web applications.

Jim is our creative machine and has feet both in the old guard and the current crop of rock and metal's finest. He also suffers from an embarrassing man-crush on the Rock God that is Paul Stanley... A hugely talented designer whose ability to perform under monster pressure and always deliver to deadlines is remarkable. He earned his degree in Electronic Media Design at the University of Sunderland in the early 2000's and now specialises in the production of high-end, contemporary design work using Photoshop and Illustrator. He is also well-versed in Quark, Dreamweaver and Flash.

Now you know about us, we want to know aout you. If, like us, you're serious about your craft and want to take things to the next level then now's the time to get in touch.

We salute you \m/ >_< \m/
